By Hannah Tomlinson –
I was touched to see this headline, which for me drives home the reason we do what we do. The reason we fight for the lives of the unborn is because we love them – as Christ loves them. For this same reason we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the prisoner, and yes – care for the refugee.
We too were once strangers in a strange land, without God and without hope. “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Eph 2:12-13)
Our life in Christ is worth celebrating, and worth sharing. God’s ability to seek out, to restore, and to provide for every one of us is worthy of our trust and confidence.
Children are not a burden, but a blessing. Their little lives are yet to lived, their challenges yet to be faced, their victories yet to be won.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.” (Ps 127:3)
Even as we track laws and expose darkness where it tries to hide, the work is the Lord’s, the battle is the Lord’s. We seek his face. We joyfully do his work. I’ll plant, you water, God gives the increase!
Keep praying, and keep Him first always. He will guide.
